YOUTH SUMMER MISSIONS 2014

Side-by-Side June 7-15...Entering grade 9 through adults
Nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and bordered by the Illinois River and Lake Tenkiller lies an area of our country that is home to both the Cherokee Nation and the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokees.  Join us this year on Side-by-Side, and help us serve the poverty-stricken, history-rich native American Indian community of Tahlequah, Oklahoma!

Hope at Home June 24-26...Entering grades 6-8 and adults
This summer, Grace youth in grades 6 through 8 (as of fall 2014) will have the meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of local families in our community by becoming aware of their needs and to take action alongside the organizations that have the most impact to make a difference.

Open GYM Saturday, May 10 - Kayaking in Naperville 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Whether you're an old hand or a first-timer, you're sure to have a fun-filled water adventure!  We'll kayak, have lunch, and lots of laughs.  Please bring money for lunch, and make sure you have a Safe Sanctuary form on file!  NEEDED ARE KAYAKS, KAYAKING GEAR, AND AN EXPERIENCED TRAILER DRIVER!  Please contact John Dudich if you have gear and/or driving experience.

Winter-Spring Weekly Events

Sunday School 9:30am-10:30am, January 5-May 4 (no class March 30 or April 20)
Grades 6 - 7, 9-12 & 8th Gr. Confirmation
Sunday School is an opportunity for GYM students to dive deep into faith, prayer and relevant issues. Adult leaders are excited to be with students and work through topics that matter in day-to-day life. Who am I, where do I belong, what is this world all about?  Do you think God has something to say about it?  Then see you at Sunday School!

Wed GYM Band 5:30pm - 6:45pm, January 8-April 30 (no class March 5, April 2 or 16)
Grades 6-12
All student musicians in grades 6-12 are invited to check out GYM band! Whether you play violin or drums, guitar or sing, we are rocking out to an acoustic sound of current pop and church worship music. GYM Band is a gathering of youth who enjoy spending time together and playing great music at our Wednesday evening GYM gatherings. Wednesday practice is for the same night we lead; music and charts are emailed for two weeks of advanced prep. It's easy and a lot of fun!
